Radium has developed a next generation of gamma radiation shielding technology. Our patented (#10262763 and other patent-pending) ClearView radiation shielding liquid solution is developed to be a lightweight, non-hazardous alternative to the industry’s existing heavy and toxic lead shielding. Radium has designed many new products in a variety of shapes and sizes to take advantage of ClearView radiation shielding’s transparency; enabling shielding in remote and unlikely locations.

Theranostic radiopharmaceuticals is a growing field in nuclear medicine. When designing your lab, it is important to use shielding solutions that keep your staff protected and their dose ALARA. ClearView transparent radiation shielding offers advantages beyond highly effective shielding. Our solutions keep your staff productive and reduces human errors through the use of transparency.

With USP General Chapter: General Chapter <825> Radiopharmaceuticals – Preparation, Compounding, Dispensing, and Repackaging becoming official on December 1, 2020, ClearView Radiation Shielding can be a very effective transparent shielding solution in tabletop, injection pump, and syringe shields.

Retrofitting hospital rooms for radiotherapies such as for mIBG therapies can be expensive project with many requiring leaded rooms. Radium has an innovative turnkey solution to retrofit hospital rooms to shielded rooms using our Tungsten based ClearView Radiation Shielding and Bismuth or Tungsten based T-Flex® floor tiles WITHOUT the cost and expensive of a leaded room. ClearView Radiation Shielding has been successfully used at many cancer treatment hospitals and radioisotope manufacturers.

ClearView RS Testimonials

“Use of the ClearView transparent rolling shields has been well received by staff, patient and family members compared to the conventional opaque lead shields. Healthcare providers and caretakers have the ability to visibly monitor and see the patient in radiation isolation while allowing us to adequately provide sufficient measures of radiation protection” – Bae P. Chu, Health Physicist, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

“The ClearView shields worked fantastic.  The child was able to see her parent’s and nursing thought it helped with managing the child as well.Bob Ackerman, Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist, C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan Health System.

“We recently treated our first patient using the Clearview shielding. The patient, the family, and our staff loved it.  Having the Clearview shields is a tremendous improvement for our patients. We can’t thank you enough.”  – Greg Yanik MD, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, University of Michigan
